OverviewHow it worksRequirements and plansCommon questions

What your team can do

Experience and quotas answer different questions. Experience shows how far a member has progressed over time; quota points show progress toward a configured requirement or period. Keeping those measures separate lets your group recognize long-term contribution while still checking current participation.

✓Record experience with context
Authorized staff can add, remove, or set experience through the community's Discord command. Member profiles show balances, and audit records help staff review adjustments.
✓Measure quota progress
Configure what your quota measures and when it applies. Use quota points for the current requirement without treating them as the member's lifetime experience.
✓Connect events and progression
Event types can award configured XP or quota points. Eligible ranks can use experience thresholds for automatic progression, subject to the community's rules.

From setup to everyday use

Start with a test member and check the result before introducing the workflow to your whole community.

  1. Choose what progress means

Name your experience system, select its progress calculation, and define rank thresholds. Configure quotas separately for the requirements you want to measure.

  2. Decide who can award points

Set staff permissions for adding, removing, and setting balances. Review event awards so staff understand when points are applied automatically.

  3. Check a complete activity cycle

Award points to a test member, inspect their profile and leaderboard, and confirm any expected rank progression or quota change.

Example workflow

Lifetime progress and a weekly expectation

A community might use experience to recognize a member's completed training across their time in the group, while a weekly quota measures recent participation. A configured event can contribute to both. Staff can then distinguish an experienced member from one who has met the current requirement, without manually converting one score into the other.

Before you get started

  • An eligible plan and active community, with experience and quota settings reviewed by authorized staff.
  • Rank thresholds and progression settings if XP should lead to promotion.
  • Event awards and quota periods checked before manual adjustments or resets.

Common questions

Are XP and quota points the same thing?

No. Experience records long-term progression. Quota points measure progress toward a configured requirement or period. A community can use either or both, with separate settings and balances.

Does every XP award automatically promote a member?

Promotion depends on the configured thresholds, eligible ranks, automated progression access, and member restrictions. An XP increase alone does not guarantee a Roblox rank change.

Why might an event participant receive no points?

An active suspension can withhold event experience and quota awards. Check the event state, configured awards, suspension status, and balances before retrying or making a manual adjustment.
